AMBASSADORS COLLEGE RECEIEVES INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION STATUS

Congratulations, Felicitations, Felixinades

These are the words students, families, well wishers, stakeholders and corporate bodies rain on Ambassadors College- The Embassy of Success. This was as a result of the successful granting of Interim International Accreditation issued by the International Distance Education Accreditation League.  This makes Ambassadors College, the first Educational Institutional of Continued Higher Learning in the whole of Africa to be awarded such an International Accreditation. The five (5) Member Competent Board of Accreditation Review Committee was drawn from Presidents and Vice Chancellors of Recognized Universities and Higher Government Accrediting Bodies.  This makes all programs of Ambassadors College internationally accredited and hence students may be able to transfer successfully to equally recognized universities and higher institutes of academic and professional learning with all credits earned both locally and internationally.

AMBASSADORS COLLEGE COMMISSIONS TWO OFFICES IN CENTRAL AFRICA

As part of measures to assist foreign students coming into Ghana for further studies, Ambassadors College, The Embassy of Success has now moved closer to the respective  countries of origin of these students. This move was also necessitated by the need to helping reduce and check the illegal migration into Ghana. Thus, a well coordinated effort of the Ghana Embassy in Congo and the Immigration Services of both Ghana and Congo have been energized to regularize foreign students coming to Ghana especially those African brothers and sisters from Congo Brazzaville. In the light of this, the past students and parents of these students have helped established two offices in Congo: one in Brazzaville: Rue Haoussa No. 31 Poto Poto near Rond Point Poto Poto avenue de la Paix and opposite the R. Poto-Poto Bus stop with the other in Pointe-Noire near Pharmacie Madina in Tchimbamba 5mins drive form the Pointe- Noire International Airport to help assist students who want to come to Ghana for studies and parents who want visit their wards or relatives whilst they study in Ambassadors College- Accra Ghana. Mr. Etou Alali Armel, a past student and now the Managing Director of Hedco Groupe of Copmanies Ltd is our official national representative with other staffs in each of our two offices.

AMBASSADORS COLLEGE ORGANIZES 3RD UNIVERSITY MATRICULATION / GRADUATION

In his speech the Deputy Minister of Information whose speech was read on his behalf by the Director of Finance & Administration at the Ministry of Information, he  praised Ambassadors College greatly for its tremendous path in ensuring the vision of the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s African Unity. This is because the convocation brought together citizens from across the African continent with some matriculating and others graduating.  The program was re-kindled by continuous rounds of applause by the audience through the inspirational and powerful speech of DR PEACE OBENG – The Principal of the College.

EXTRAT OF DR PEACE OBENG’S SPEECH

Mr. Chairman, Your Excellencies-Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Our Special Guest of Honor, Nananom, All other Invited Guests, Staffs & Students, Ladies & Gentlemen.
The media which is regarded as the 4th estate of the realm now has several questions unanswered. We do hear political acrimony and insults every morning but do not hear how the youth can create and employ. Our airwaves have been devoted to cheap and common propaganda instead of bringing common ideas from people who know what and how to do it to help our youth in job creation. I am not surprised almost all attention has been turned to the current oil discovery. Almost every one is waiting to have their fair share of the national cake of the oil instead of looking at what they can create out of the oil find. The rush over gold in Elmina quite recently is an indication that our youth has no sustained future and something must be done now. This is more reason why the Ghana Accreditation Board should assist institutions like these in granting at least a form of accreditation to such institutions with clear focus and are contributing to the national development in diverse ways since such institutions fill the large vacuum created between the Post Senior High and before the Tertiary. We should not forget that, “The greatest investment a man can make is to invest into the life of another man.”
Mr. Chairman, Your Excellencies-Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Our Special Guest of Honor, Nananom, All other Invited Guests, Staffs & Students, Ladies & Gentlemen. Competition is good but healthy competition is better. As the number of our educational needs increase so will the educational service providers multiply. This may result in competing over the same resource. “I strongly believe that education is not a business of money but a business of destiny.” Therefore, sister institutions should concentrate on building and equipping the skills and potentials of students who enroll with them; to make sure that they come out to meet the demand of the current job market and to be of an assets and not liabilities to both their families and the community at large. By so doing, there will be value and dignity in certificates that are awarded from Ghana which will certainly bring a positive rippling effects not only in Africa but the world at large.
Ghana has not only become the gateway to Africa but also the destination of education in Africa. This has resulted in the influx of many Africans into Ghana. The free movement of fellow African brothers and sisters across Africa should be given greater priority by the AU if the common currency seems to be riding a horse of challenges. We don’t need an ECOWAS passport. All Africans need one passport called the African Passport.
Our cherished companies, if you cannot employ directly the students who churn out of educational institutions due to lack of employment vacancies, what about a fixed period of attachment to enable them sharpen their skills? We need you to absorb so we can produce whilst at the same time helping provide affordable accommodation for them.
Dear Foreign student, Ghana is not just blessed with peace but also endowed with other potentials. I strongly challenge you to acquire the necessary transformational knowledge and skills to positively improve upon your respective countries.
Finally, the political landscape will soon take a new turn as we enter the year 2012. Ghana is going for two world cups next year. The African Cup in Gabon & Equatorial Guinea and the world cup in December elections .here in Ghana. All attention of the world will be on Ghana. Dear politicians, the richest man in the world sold all his assets to go and buy something. He went from continent to continent, country to country, region to region, district to district, tribe to tribe, family to family, home to home, house to house, room to room, bed to bed but never found. Why? Because it was not for sale. Ladies and Gentlemen, that thing was “peace.” It is not for sale. Let us have violence free 2012 elections.
I on behalf of Ambassadors College, (The Embassy of Success), wish you all a merry xmas and a prosperous new year in advance. Thank you for being part of the history of this College.
Mercy, Gracias, Dunke, Shukran.
